Tribhuvan University CMAT Entrance Exam


Every applicant of BBA/BIM/BHM/BTTM Programme is required to appear in the Entrance Test (CMAT) conducted by Faculty of Management,TU.

CMAT is central management aptitude Entrance test taken by Tribhuvan University.Every applicant of BBA/BIM/BHM/BTTM Programme is required to appear in the Entrance Test (CMAT) conducted by Faculty of Management,TU. The test will follow the standard testing pattern and may include areas like Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability, Logical Reasoning, General Awareness, Business and Economics.


Applicants securing above cut off point marks in the CMAT will be short-listed. Only short listed candidates will be interviewed and selected for admission.

COMPONENTS OF CMAT
There shall be altogether one hundred (100) objective questions in the CMAT containing twenty (25) questions in each section with a total weight of 100 marks. Student must secure a minimum of 40% in the CMAT in order to qualify for the interview.

1.Verbal ( English) carries 25 questions

> Idioms and phrases
> Passage and questions

2. Quantitative ( Math) carries 25 questions

> Ratio & Proportions

> Unitary Method
> Indices ( Law of Indices)
> Digits & Age
> Permutation and combinations
> Simple and Compound interests, Profit and loss
> Commission, taxation and vat
> HCF & LCM
> Probability ( principle of counting)
> Quadratic equation
> Statistics
> Log & Exponent

3.Logical Reasoning carries 25 questions
> Type of relations
> Odd one out
> Figures & relations
> Arguments & Flow chart – Pure logic, common sense logic & Guest logic

4. General Awareness carries 25 questions
> Current affairs – business & economy, sports, politics
> Management theories
> Science & Literature
> Interesting facts / current facts
